About Me

Christopher Kiker,
MD Family Medicine

My name is Christopher Kiker and I am a family doctor. I was born and raised in a Bremen, a small town in Georgia, and moved away to college at Mercer University in Macon Georgia in 2005. There I obtained a bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentrations in economics and healthcare. My undergraduate experience including abroad experiences in China and Thailand helped shape my love for lifelong learning and my calling and passion for people.

After a couple of years working in the research and nonprofit sector, I went back to Medical school to pursue my childhood dream and calling of becoming a small-town family doctor. My path wasn’t linear, but it allowed me to have real world experiences that help in patient care today. While attending Mercer Medical School, I was president of my class and named a Nathan Deal Scholar upon graduation. This distinction came with a commitment to practice in rural underserved areas of Georgia. I went on to complete a rural track family residency program in the upstate of South Carolina. You will find me today in an outpatient practice in Toccoa Georgia where I practice family medicine and serve as an assistant hospice director for my organization’s hospice.

Personally, I am married to my amazing and supportive wife Charlotte, and have two children, Adam and Abram. We enjoy traveling, camping, Braves games and spending our weekends on the lake.

Over the last year, it has become evident to me that how people obtain information has changed. Everyone has a wealth of information at their fingertips and are “experts” but sometimes lack the training and knowledge to interpret information that true experts have. I started this site in an effort to remain relevant in a fast-paced information rich digitally connected world. This website is intended to provide real world stories, information, and advice from my perspective as a family doctor.
